GOTHAM KINGS
The Gotham Kings Bring Their Electrifying Brass Energy to the 2026 Montclair Jazz Festival
Get ready, Montclair! The Gotham Kings, one of the most exhilarating and high-energy brass ensembles in the country, are set to light up the stage at the 2026 Montclair Jazz Festival this September. Fusing New Orleans-style jazz with modern flair, this band isn’t just playing music—they’re throwing a party you won’t want to miss.
Who Are The Gotham Kings?
Formed by trumpeter Alphonso Horne, a two-time GRAMMY® nominee, The Gotham Kings bring together some of the most dynamic young jazz artists in the country. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Louis Armstrong and the swinging spirit of the Big Easy, the band blends traditional jazz with funk, gospel, and contemporary influences. Their sound is joyous, infectious, and made to get people on their feet.
Expect soaring trumpet solos, roaring brass choruses, and the kind of interactive showmanship that turns a performance into a full-on celebration. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz aficionado or just discovering the genre, The Gotham Kings offer a high-octane gateway into the rich world of modern jazz.
When and Where to See Them
Catch The Gotham Kings live on Saturday, August 15, 2025, at Downtown Jamboree, the festival’s all-day, open-air music extravaganza held in Downtown Montclair.
