The Montclair Jazz Festival returns bigger than ever, moving to its new home at the eight-acre historic Lackawanna Station. With Grove Street closed to traffic, downtown Montclair will transform into a vibrant arts and culture hub, welcoming music lovers from across New Jersey, New York, and beyond.
From its modest start in 2010 to last year’s 26,000+ attendees and $1.5M boost to the local economy, the festival—produced by JAZZ HOUSE KiDS—remains free and open to all, thanks to strong community and corporate partnerships.

New for 2025: The day kicks off with a New Orleans-style second line parade by Gotham Kings, marching from Church Street & Park Avenue to Lackawanna Station.
This year’s festival celebrates America’s rich jazz legacy, youth music education, and community spirit, with support from partners including Xfinity, Rao’s Homemade, United Airlines, Lincoln of Wayne, Optimum, Signature Cruise Experiences, and more.
